X07 roadmap (next 12 months)
Goal
Make X07 a production-credible, openly governed language and toolchain for agentic software engineering.
Track 1 - Language and toolchain stability
- stabilize the core x07AST schema surface
- improve diagnostic and quickfix reliability
- tighten compatibility and versioning guarantees
- expand verification and trust tooling
Track 2 - MCP and ecosystem interoperability
- harden
x07-mcpfor wider external use - publish clearer interoperability docs around MCP
- produce end-to-end demos showing X07, MCP, and trust/review artifacts together
Track 3 - Ecosystem maturity
- stabilize package publishing and registry behavior
- improve wasm, web, and device release flow
- formalize platform workload lifecycle surfaces
Track 4 - Open governance and community growth
- move from founder-led governance to multi-maintainer governance
- add at least 2 additional maintainers from distinct organizations
- document maintainer nomination and release delegation
- grow the public RFC process and issue backlog
